Bespoke Wine Room with Integrated Climate Control | Kensington | London

Bespoke by Acorn was commissioned to design, manufacture, and install this luxury bespoke wine room in the basement of a prestigious Kensington residence. The space needed to serve a dual purpose: a high-performance, climate-controlled storage facility for a diverse and growing wine collection, and a sophisticated hosting space. The brief also demanded a modern, minimalist, uncluttered aesthetic.

The primary challenge was integrating the technical requirements—including a refrigeration unit, a sink station, and climate control system—without compromising the clean, contemporary style of the custom-made wine storage cabinetry.

Integrated climate control

Preserving fine wine requires absolute environmental stability. To achieve this, Bespoke by Acorn seamlessly integrated a smart climate control system directly into the architecture of the furniture. Air conditioning vents were meticulously built into the top of the cabinetry, paired with a flush, integrated thermostat. This system maintains the perfect temperature and humidity level without having any unsightly wall units disrupting the natural wood aesthetic.
